Wooden serveware for the table — cake stands and risers, serving platters and boards, bowls and plates, coasters, placemats, vases and candle stands.
Most pieces in this range are cut or turned from recycled wood; the others are mango or rubber wood, and a few pair wood with wrought iron. All of it is made by hand in India, which means grain, colour and figure differ from one piece to the next. That variation is the point — a bark edge that follows the log it came from, a pedestal turned on a lathe rather than pressed out of a mould.
Sizes run from a single coaster to a twelve-piece dinner set, so a cake stand bought this month sits happily beside a platter bought next year.
