Design-led pieces for people who host.
SpruceInc started in 2019, in Gurgaon. Since then our pieces have found their way into more than a thousand homes.
Two halves
The first is serveware — trays, platters, stands, bowls, candle holders. The pieces that carry a meal to the table and hold it there. These are held in stock and go out within a few days.
The second is furniture that folds. Tables, chairs, trolleys and racks that come out when there are people to seat, and pack flat when there aren't. These are made to order and take three to four weeks.
Small batch, by hand
Nothing here comes off a production line. Pieces are turned, cut and finished by hand, in small runs, from solid wood — mango, maple, walnut, sheesham.
That has a consequence worth saying plainly: no two pieces are identical. Grain runs differently, colour takes differently, a finish sits slightly warmer on one piece than the next. That is the material behaving like a material. If you want forty identical plates, we are not the right people. If you want a table nobody else has, we are.
We customise almost everything — sizes, finishes, a set built around what you already own. Ask.
Why we are on WhatsApp so much
Most of what we sell involves a question first. Will this fit that alcove. Can you make it in walnut. What do I need for twenty people. Those are conversations, not form fields, so we have them where conversations happen.
