Terms of service

These terms cover your use of spruceinc.in and any order you place through it. By placing an order you accept them.

Who we are

SpruceInc is a sole proprietorship trading from B19/5e, DLF Phase 1, Gurgaon, Haryana 122002, India.

Our pieces

Everything we sell is hand made, and much of it is made after you order. Variation in colour, grain, texture and finish between pieces, and between a piece and its photographs on this site, is a property of solid wood and hand finishing rather than a fault.

Photographs and dimensions are as accurate as we can make them. Dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly piece to piece.

We customise sizes and finishes on request. Anything customised is made only for you, and is treated differently under our cancellation and refund policy.

Prices and tax

All prices are in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of all applicable taxes. SpruceInc is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged or collected on your order and no tax invoice is issued.

We may change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown when you place it.

We take care over the site, but if a piece is listed at an obviously incorrect price we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it. We will tell you before we do.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm the order to you. Until then we may decline or cancel it — for example if a piece is no longer available, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we cannot verify the order.

You must be 18 or older to place an order, and the details you give us must be accurate and complete.

Payment

Online payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your card or bank details.

Cash on delivery is available on trays, platters and tableware. Furniture is made to order and is prepaid.

On custom and bulk orders, if payment is outstanding for more than five business days after the order is agreed, we will treat the order as cancelled.

Delivery, cancellation and returns

Both form part of these terms.

Looking after your pieces

Wipe clean with a dry or barely damp cloth. Do not soak wood, and do not put any of our pieces in a dishwasher. Keep them out of direct sun and away from direct heat, and oil them occasionally with a food-safe wood oil.

Damage from misuse, overloading, poor maintenance or ordinary wear is not covered.

Our photographs and brand

The photographs, text, designs and the SpruceInc name on this site belong to us. Please do not reproduce them commercially without asking. We are usually happy to say yes.

Our liability

We are responsible for supplying the piece you ordered, in the condition described. Where we are at fault, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays outside our reasonable control — carrier disruption, natural events, or similar. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gurgaon, Haryana.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you order is the one that applies.
